Every year GCCW announces a new “Bird of the Year” – particular species, that is being promoted and popularized trough distributed posters, calendars, t-shirts, caps, etc.
The program was initiated in 2003 and the first one was Caucasian grouse. 2004 – Griffon vulture, 2005 – Dalmatian pelican.
